[019] Xi Functions ~ Patrol Helicopter: ~ Mimicing birds
Mimicing birds:
Desert Raven (Corvus ruficollis):
~ brown-necked ravens patrol the desert singly, in pairs, or after breeding in roving flocks
~ may be the only species of bird encountered in really remote areas
~ have earned themselves the alternative name of desert raven
~ can be encountered even in the depths of the waterless Empty Quarter or Rub' al Khali, but range widely in search of food
~ desert encampments prove an irresistible attraction and inquisitive ravens will come close to investigate,
only shying away if humans are present
~ have learnt that camps often provide them with a welcome discarded bone
Xi's raven mimicing:
~ camouflaged
~ capable to operate autonomously & unmanned in deserts
~ learns to patrol oil pipelines and oil fields in desert

[020] Xi Functions ~ Patrol Helicopter: ~ Mimicing insects
Mimicing insects:
Camel spider
~ not venomous but big and fast
~ one of the fastest running arthropod
~ although it has four pairs of legs, it runs using only three pairs
~ the first pair of legs or pedipalpi are held up in front of them and used in a similar manner to the antennae of insects
~ has very long, silky setae and is constantly moving in order to locate and pick-up prey
~ despite i's fearsome appearance and strong bite, it is unlikely to harm humans
~ the only risk of injury resulting from it is caused by shock or infection following a bite
~ there is no evidence of venom in any part of it's body
~ camel spider is a nocturnal predator of other arthropods including scorpions and is voracious feeder
~ some species kill and feed on lizards and it is speculated that others kill mice and birds
~ relies solely on it's speed and stealth to catch it's prey
~ in desert areas often attracted to lights at night in search of food
~ appearance can cause alarm if it enters tents
~ during the winter months thought to hide or hibernate
Xi's caml spider mimicing:
~ camouflaged
~ constantly patrolling oil pipelines and oil fields
~ capable to hibernate in Base4Xi base to save power
