Objective:
~ to develop a data acquisition system for DCAS radars
~ to define needs and capabilities for embedded signal processors and controllers, control and data interfaces, and implementation of real-time algorithms
~ radars to be used for DCAS, require highly demanding data acquisition and processing capabilities
~ developing a data acquisition and processing system
that would be capable of converting analog data received by radar to digital domain at high-speeds
~ process digital data by devising real-time signal processing algorithms & transfer it to end-user over a high speed com. link or to a bulk-storage device
System capabilities:
~ support real-time data acquisition, processing and storage
~ provide standard communication interfaces such as Ethernet, USB & serial ports for ease of transfering the data to user
~ use re-configurable hardware to achieve high performance and flexibility
