ξ Quintagroup was ordered to develop a special image-based content type - image of 95px width.
ξ Such an image is used in every folder and is displayed as an icon representing that folder in the listings.

ξ Such 95px images are displayed in folder listings.

Hawaii Aviation Photo Album has a multi-level structure:

1) First Level - main folders listing
ξ ha_mainfolder_listing_view
ξ developed to display main folder listing with folder's title (in blue headline), description (in body text), and
ξ 95px-wide image is displayed as an icon for this folder.

2) Second Level - subfolders listing
ξ ha_subfolder_listing_view was developed to display subfolders listing.
ξ Apart from folder's title (that goes in blue headline) and description (in body text),
ξ 5px-wide image is displayed as an icon for every subfolder.

3) Third Level - images in subfolder
ξ Third-level page displays images in the subfolder as 200 px thumbnails.
ξ ha_photo_album_view was developed to display such pictures by three in a line,
ξ the height of images varies, but the width is 200 px.
ξ Each picture is followed by a caption - taken from the description field of the image.
ξ Maximum number of photos that can fit one page is 12.
ξ When one of these photos is clicked on, you get to the fourth level - full size image.

4) Fourth Level - full size image
ξ This page displays the images at the original size with ha_image_view_fullscreen view.
ξ Images size varies and can be as much as 3000 x 2200 pixels.

Project Outline
ξ TalkBMC site was developed by Quintagroup in collaboration with 4WebResults and BMC Software.
ξ Sophisticated and informative Plone-based content-managed website was designed and built with the following important add-on products used for such purposes:
* SimpleBlog product was used, which adds three content types: Blog, BlogEntry and BlogFolder - all works so that to organize the blog entries published on site in a desired way.
* qPingTool - used together with SimpleBlog product to enable pinging of external feed aggregators.
* RSS2 feeds are generated with qRSSyndication Plone product, that includes support of audio and video feeds. The amount of feeds on site is great, including podcasts and blog feeds.

In addition to a new look, the site features a lot of useful information,
TalkBMC contains blogs written by people of different occupations, such as corporate strategists, directors, executive producers, developers, software architects - all amounting approximately 20 bloggers.

Project Outline

Quintagroup designed and developed a bilingual content managed website
featuring new design in coordination with branding drive.
Several products were used to make this site very usable and manageable.

1. Navigation titles
ξ are generated with the help of qSiloGroup product.
ξ It enables creating navigation titles different from documents titles,
ξ that is especially important because of two reasons:
ξ navigation titles should be short and clear so that a visitor could easily navigate on site,
ξ find necessary information,
ξ while page titles are usually long and informative.
ξ qSiloGroup allows to choose which items (which a folder contains) to be displayed in the navigation.
ξ In SiloNavigation table select elements to be displayed in the navigation,
ξ in the right column navigation titles are written, they can be different from page titles.

2. Breadcrumbs
ξ functionality is a little bit changed from default Plone's.
ξ qSilobreadcrumbs product was used here,
ξ which the help of which breadcrumb titles can be customized
ξ qSilobearcrumbs uses Navigation titles as a basis for breadcrumbs titles.

3. Metatags
ξ were edited with help of qSEOptimizer product.
ξ As page title tag, meta description tag, meta keywords tag can all together contribute to improving site visibility in search engine result pages,
ξ it was important to customize them.
ξ Thus, in Seo properties window the tags were changed.

4. HTML code
ξ was cleared from blank lines, gabs, unnecessary tags etc.
ξ A special product was used to decrease HTML file size and make it more friendly for search engines.

5. Plone bilingual service was achieved through LinguaPlone product.
With LinguaPlone, it was easy to create and manage translations of the content and navigate with different language versions of the same content.
When we copied pages and folders, connection between documents in different languages was not lost.
As a result a user can easily shift between languages through a drop-down menu.
Initially this site was created in English, but then our task was to make it bilingual: English-Russian.

English version
ξ was in the root of the site - http://www.offshorecompany.com/

Folder ru
ξ a Russian version of the site - http://www.offshorecompany.com/ru.

Translated
ξ all the content one by one into that folder:
ξ the button translate into appeared on the toolbar, clicking on it we chose '???????'.

The content translated into Russian was all inserted into ru folder.
So, every page in English, for example, http://www.offshorecompany.com/folder/page.html has its translated into Russian equivalent in ru folder http://www.offshorecompany.com/ru/folder/page.html

Thus, all the pages, Navigation menu, breadcrumbs, tabs and portlets were translated.
A special drop-down menu appeared on every translated page in both English version and the Russian one to shift between languages.

ξ Quintagroup provided Asset Protection Planners, Inc with a website based on the Plone Content Management System.
ξ As they needed a stronger, more corporate look and feel online that would showcase their recent work,
ξ a brand new content-managed site was designed and developed.

1. A special product was used to decrease HTML size of pages, and make it more friendly for search engines.
ξ With its help we got rid of blank lines, gabs, unnecessary tags etc.
ξ In general, HTML code was cleared from all these useless tags.

2. qSEOptimizer product was used to edit metatags.
ξ A page title tag, meta description tag, meta keywords tag can contribute to improving site visibility in search engine result pages,
ξ that is why this product was designed, it enables tags editing in Seo properties window.
