Dual Front and Rear Steering
ξ The Jetbike is the only personal watercraft offering a simultaneous front and rear steering mechanism.
ξ Other personal watercraft are steered through the side-to-side movement of a steering nozzle located at the rear of the craft.
ξ With the Jetbike’s patented dual steering safety system,
ξ the front steering ski is controlled by the rider turning the craft’s handlebars,
ξ which simultaneously controls by cable the movement of the rear jet propulsion steering nozzle.
ξ The two mechanisms work in unison to provide safe steering for the craft.    

Throttle-off Maneuverability
ξ In addition to maneuverability when applying power,
ξ the Jetbike is the only personal watercraft that maintains steering control in a “throttle-off” or “dead engine” condition.
ξ Other personal watercraft rely exclusively on engine power (throttle-on) to steer and
ξ lose steering control when the engine is shut off, quits or the throttle is released by the rider in a panic situation.
ξ This condition can create an operational safety hazard, particularly when those craft are traveling at moderate or high speeds.
ξ In contrast, the Jetbike’s unique front ski allows safe maneuverability of the craft, even when the throttle is off. 
ξ This feature offers important and unequaled safety and handling advantages in emergency, racing and other situations
ξ where safe throttle-off maneuverability under forward motion is imperative.

Handling and Responsiveness
ξ Except when jumping waves or at rest,
ξ the Jetbike’s front and rear body hull surfaces plane on the surface of the water, maintaining two contact areas at all times.
ξ This is not so with the single hull design of other personal watercraft.
ξ The bow of the small boat-type personal watercraft lifts further out of the water as speed increases,
ξ reducing the size and forcing to the rear of the craft the hull planing surface,
ξ making it more difficult to control the craft especially in windy, rough or difficult water conditions. 
ξ In contrast, the Jetbike provides the rider with a greater feeling of control
ξ through sensory feedback from the simultaneously controlled front steering ski and rear jet propulsion nozzle.
ξ The steering can be custom adjusted by the rider through the use of a three position Snap-On/Snap-Off bell-crank adjustment device inside the bike.
ξ The Jetbike’s handling and maneuverability is so powerful that a highly experienced rider can actually drive it underwater,
ξ ride fully submerged for a short duration (no more than 8 seconds),
ξ then accelerate skyward breaking the surface like a submarine launched missile. 

Ease of Operation
ξ Many riders find personal watercraft difficult to mount in deep and rough water conditions.
ξ The Jetbike’s unique hydro-ballast system causes the craft to “sink” under the rider as the rider applies his or her weight to the craft, making it easier to remount the craft.
ξ Additionally, this patented system will not allow the craft to completely capsize, or roll upside-down,
ξ unlike other personal watercraft which, if they do capsize, are very difficult to roll back to an upright position. 
ξ The Jetbike will always self-right in the water.

Braking/Stopping Safety
ξ The Jetbike’s high draft design also allows for quick stopping. 
ξ Other personal watercraft, with lower draft designs, glide some distance across the top of the water when a rider releases the throttle before coming to a stop.
ξ The faster the craft is going, the longer it takes to stop. 
ξ This can create a safety hazard in busy, high traffic waterways when the craft is in an unsteerable, throttle-off condition.
ξ In contrast, the Jetbike is designed to slow down and stop more rapidly than other personal watercraft.
ξ The increase in total draft area and drag causes the craft to slow down quickly,
ξ thus creating a natural water brake as the Jetbike settles faster and deeper into the water.
ξ The rider can also lay the bike down to slow its forward momentum even faster to prevent a collision.

Technical Features
ξ The Jetbike features lightweight,
ξ one-piece composite construction,
ξ a twist-grip motorcycle throttle and
ξ a power source configured as an in-board, mid-mounted, water-cooled engine and
ξ accompanying axial flow jet pump propulsion system. 
ξ The Jetbike is designed to offer on-demand acceleration and speed capability up to 70 mph or more.
ξ The rear under section of the Jetbike’s hull incorporates an inlet opening through which water flows into the jet pump.
ξ The engine is located at the lowest point in the hull of the craft for ballast and handling purposes,
ξ and is cooled by water supplied by the pump. 
ξ Both the exhaust and cooling systems of the Jetbike are patented and
ξ designed to eliminate back flow or flooding of the engine and engine compartment. 
ξ Additional safety features include an automatic spring-loaded release for the twist throttle
ξ that immediately stops the engine if the rider falls off. 
ξ A secondary ignition cut-off switch, connected to the rider by a tether,
ξ serves as a backup device to shut off the engine in the event of a spill or fall.
ξ The Jetbike features a removable composite planing surface on the hull for easy replacement and repair,
ξ including the provision for the owner or factory to provide or
ξ design enhanced hull designs or configurations for racing or competition purposes.

Research & Development
ξ Aquajet designs, develops and tests prototypes of its Jetbike and many of the Jetbike components in-house.
ξ Aquajet’s in-house engineering staff has been and will continue to be used for their expertise in specific areas such as
ξ engine emissions design,
ξ jet pump development and
ξ design and structural analysis. 
ξ Research and development and tooling activities are currently housed in a separate 10,400 square foot facility
ξ located adjacent to the Company’s 18,000 square foot administration and production facility. 
ξ The Company’s research and development efforts currently consist primarily of creating mock-ups and

Patent Protection and Infringement
ξ A patent covering the Jetbike’s exterior design and
ξ a utility patent covering 25 claims related to the Jetbike have been granted to Mr. Wiegert, Aquajet’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,
ξ by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 
ξ Aquajet believes that such patent rights will provide Aquajet with a competitive advantage and
ξ will provide significant intellectual property and product protection.
ξ Aquajet has a policy to rigorously enforce and defend its trade secrets and rights in its technology,

Government Regulation

Manufacturing

Warranty

High Draft Design

ξ Other personal watercraft have a low draft area, meaning they are essentially floating on top of the water and uncontrollable in an off-throttle situation.
ξ Aquajet’s patented high draft, vented ballast chamber design allows the Jetbike to be submerged approximately 24 inches below the waterline at rest and
ξ at speeds up to approximately seven miles per hour. 
ξ By taking on water the craft settles in the water, partially submerged,
ξ displacing the air in the vented ballast chambers located in both sides and at the rear of the craft. 
ξ This means the Jetbike will stop very quickly should the rider fall off.

Due to close connections with oil companies S&S is also explorint alternative fuels.
Xi is designed to be an agile helicopter capable to aggressive manoeuvres in tight places.
Liquid hydrogen (LH2) as a fuel and MH2/fuel cells as a electric source is one option to migitate emissions.
However, hydrogen is not classified as a bio fuel neither is it cool anymore !
To market and sell JetBike and Xi in Europe it would help to have a fuel with performance & to migitate emissions !

Military, Patrol, vartiointipuolella tuo sana FUN ei vaan jotenkin istu
