The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)

Dear Sir,

S&S is a private California corporation developing the unmanned helicopter yourDragonXi (Xi).

Referring to Dr. Takashi Ishikawa's story at http://www.jaxa.jp/article/special/aviation/index_e.html
and JXAX's mandate to "research and develop unmanned aircraft for meteorological or disaster monitoring"
S&S is interested to collaborate with JXAX.

Xi is designed to use a clean engine, which will be fueled by liquid BIO-hydrogen and it's electronics powered by MH2/fuel cells.
Hydrogen for Xi will be produced with environment friendly methods, for example from algae, therefore S&S calls Xi's fuel BIO-LH2.
S&S's goal is to migitate emissions during the whole life cycle of Xi.

We are also interested to apply JXAX's Carbon fiber composite technology to build Xi helicopter and the autonomous base station (Base4Xi),
which is designed to refuel, recharge, update and shelter several Xi helicopters.
The electricity to power Base4Xi is designed to be generated using renewable energy sources.

Our UAS system consists of the unmanned helicopter Xi, the autonomous base station (Base4Xi), wireless ad-hoc sensors (Sensor4Xi)
and mobile device series. All devices are designed for network-centric operations at remote and demanding theaters.
This UAS system would be suitable for meteorological or disaster monitoring.

Xi can be rapidly deployed with a manned air vehicle such as a fighter to the disaster theater.
Figher can drop one to two Xi helicopters inside the pod (Pod4Xi) at safe altitude.
Xi hatches in the air. Being an agile helicopter Xi can manoeuvre at low altitudes and tight places.
Embedded cameras and sensors help Xi to broadcast real-time information from the theater.
If longer monitoring is needed, Base4Xi can be deployed with a manned helicopter together with rescue forces and our mobile devices.

Meteorological monitoring Xi helicopter can do with it's embedded sensors.
Xi is also capable to drop wireless sensors to ground and collect data from those sensors.
Smart bobs (Bob4Xi) can be dropped to water by Xi and it can collect sensor data above surface and under surface.

Monitoring environment and other applications Xi does emitting water due to LH2 fuel.

Collaborating with Dr. Takashi Ishikawa and JAXA would be great honor to S&S.
